QC Analytical Chemist Fixed-Term Contract

  • Hours: Monday to Friday variable 37.5 hours (with a 2pm finish on Friday's)

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated QC Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the QC Laboratory Supervisor, you will conduct essential physical, chemical, and analytical testing on DI water, raw materials, bulk, and finished products. This role ensures that only the highest quality products are released.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough physical, chemical, and analytical tests on all materials and products.
  • Release tested materials and products from quarantine following SOPs and Laboratory Methods.
  • Participate in the validation of cleaning procedures and other methods.
  • Maintain precise records in laboratory books and computer databases.
  • Raise non-conformances for any materials or products that don't meet specifications.
  • Support the resolution of technical and quality issues.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments are calibrated and functional.
  • Ensure all testing complies with GLP, GMP, and Health and Safety regulations.

Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Practical experience with HPLC, FTIR, and UV/Vis spectrophotometers.
  • Strong understanding of analytical and wet chemistry techniques.
  • Experience in GLP and GMP environments is desirable.
